Fourth Generation Kia Carnival Launched in India: Luxury MPV with Power Sliding Rear Door and Dual Electric Sunroof

Kia India has officially launched the fourth-generation Kia Carnival Limousine in the Indian market. This luxurious multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) comes loaded with premium features, making it a top contender in the luxury MPV segment. The Korean automaker unveiled this model on September 16, and now it has officially hit the Indian roads, bringing with it exciting new features such as power sliding rear doors and a dual electric sunroof.

 Fourth Generation Kia Carnival Features:

The 2024 Kia Carnival is offered in a single, fully-loaded Limousine Plus variant, starting at ₹63.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The MPV is designed to cater to the needs of those looking for a luxurious and spacious family vehicle, making it a strong alternative to popular models like the Toyota Innova Hycross, Toyota Vellfire, and Lexus LM.

The new-generation Kia Carnival is built on the brand’s latest design language, reflecting a modern and bold look that shares elements with Kia’s EV9 model.

Power Sliding Rear Doors: The MPV retains its signature one-touch power sliding rear doors, a feature that was also available in the second-generation model, offering added convenience for passengers.

Prominent Grille and LED Lights: The front is highlighted by a chrome-embellished grille, vertical four-piece headlamps, and L-shaped connected LED daytime running lamps (DRLs), giving the vehicle a distinct and premium look.

18-inch Alloy Wheels and Connected Tail Lamps: The sides feature flush-type door handles and sporty 18-inch alloy wheels, while the rear includes connected LED taillights.

Dual Electric Sunroof: The wide electric dual sunroof adds a premium touch to the overall experience, enhancing the cabin’s spacious feel.

The fourth-generation Carnival boasts an opulent interior that prioritizes both comfort and technology, making it a standout choice in its segment.

Dual 12.3-inch Digital Displays: The dashboard is equipped with dual 12.3-inch digital displays—one for the infotainment system, which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the other for the digital driver’s display. The setup also includes a heads-up display (HUD) for added convenience.

Three-Row Layout: The MPV offers a spacious three-row layout with captain seats in the second row. The third row features bench-type seating, ensuring comfort for all passengers.

Second Row Comfort Features: The second-row captain seats come with sliding and reclining options, along with ventilation, heating, and leg extension support, making it ideal for long journeys.

Interior Color Options: Customers can choose between Navy Blue or Tan and Brown interior color schemes, further elevating the premium feel of the cabin.

The Kia Carnival Limousine Plus variant is designed with comfort in mind, making it an ideal choice for families and business executives alike.

Electric Driver and Passenger Seats: The driver’s seat is electrically adjustable with lumbar support, while the passenger seat offers 8-way adjustability.

Bose Premium Sound System: The MPV comes with a 12-speaker Bose sound system, ensuring an immersive audio experience for all occupants.

3-Zone Automatic Climate Control: This feature allows passengers in all rows to enjoy personalized climate settings, ensuring a comfortable journey for everyone.

Ambient Lighting and Powered Tailgate: Premium features like ambient lighting and a powered tailgate add to the overall luxurious experience.

Performance: Powerful Diesel Engine

The 2024 Kia Carnival Limousine is powered by a 2.2-liter diesel engine, which generates 193 hp and 441 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, ensuring smooth and responsive performance. The MPV is offered in a front-wheel-drive (FWD) configuration, delivering a balanced combination of power and fuel efficiency.

In India, the Kia Carnival competes directly with the Toyota Innova Hycross, which is priced between ₹19.77 lakh and ₹30.98 lakh, making the Carnival a more premium offering. Additionally, the Carnival is positioned as a more affordable alternative to ultra-luxury MPVs like the Toyota Vellfire (₹1.22 crore – ₹1.32 crore) and Lexus LM, giving buyers a luxurious option without the hefty price tag.
