America: Highest increase in interest rates after 15 years

After the latest increase in interest rates by the Federal Reserve in the US, the level of interest rates has become the highest since 2007. The Federal Open Market Committee raised rates from 4.75% to 5%. Earlier, the European Central Bank has also increased its rates. Meanwhile, US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has refused to extend bank deposit insurance or guarantee depositors. After the sinking of four banks in the last 11 days, the possibility of increasing insurance was being expressed. At the same time, bonds issued by Credit Suisse have been canceled after Switzerland’s largest bank UBS bought Credit Suisse Bank.
