On the demand of Chandigarh BJP, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has instructed the concerned officials to start the process of giving Ayushman cards to all citizens under the Ayushman Bharat scheme in UT Chandigarh. Chandigarh BJP State President Arun Sood had recently met Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and submitted a memorandum demanding that Ayushman cards should be issued to all citizens in Chandigarh like other Union Territories. Agreeing on this, the Union Health Minister issued a letter to the Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Authority for appropriate action. The process of making Ayushman cards for all in Chandigarh has begun. A decision will be taken soon about whether Ayushman cards will be made for all the citizens of the city. BJP State President Arun Sood has expressed satisfaction over this action.
