Entire hockey coaching staff sacked due to Pakistan’s defeat

The Asian Champions Trophy was held in India, and during the tournament, the Pakistan hockey team, led by Shahnaz Sheikh, reached the semi-finals. However, they were unable to secure a victory in the tournament. As a result, the Pakistan Hockey Federation faced criticism and consequences for the team’s performance.
The Pakistan Sports Board decided to take action against the team for their defeat at the hands of India. As a result, the entire coaching staff, including Rehan Butt, Mohammad Saqlain, Hasim Khan, and head coach Mohammad Ghafoor, were sacked. This decision was made as a form of punishment for the team’s poor performance.
In response to the dismissals, Shahnaz Sheikh was appointed as the new head coach of the Pakistan hockey team. This move was made in an effort to bring about a change in the team’s performance and to address the shortcomings that were evident during the tournament.
