Punjab: Pearl’s properties divided into three zones, exercise to provide relief to victims begins

The government has taken a significant step in addressing the fraud committed by the Pearl Group, which resulted in the loss of crores of rupees for thousands of people in Punjab. Instructions have been issued to return the money to the victims by selling off the properties owned by the group. The properties of the Pearl Group located in various districts will be identified and auctioned to generate funds for repayment.
To streamline the process, the government has divided the properties of the Pearl Group into different zones. A monitoring committee will be established to oversee the properties and facilitate the auction process. This committee will be responsible for ensuring transparency and fairness throughout the auction proceedings. The formation of this committee reflects the government’s commitment to addressing the issue promptly and efficiently.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has taken a proactive role in addressing the matter by meeting with investigating officers and reviewing the progress made. This indicates the government’s determination to hold those responsible accountable and provide relief to the victims of the fraud.
To ensure timely disbursement of funds, all district officers have been instructed to expedite the process and deliver the money to the victims promptly. Additionally, officers working in the field have also been directed to cooperate and assist in the smooth execution of the repayment process.
