Panchkula | A crime meeting was held at Sector-1 DC office on Wednesday under the leadership of Panchkula DCP Sumer Pratap Singh with all the supervisory officers, police station and outpost in- charges of the district. During the crime meeting, the DCP gave ‘guidelines’ to the police station in- charges, outpost in- charges and supervisory officers of the district to curb crime and settle the ongoing pendency in the police stations. The DCP said that crime related to women is the most sensitive crime. Resolve the matter by taking immediate action on them. Apart from this, all police station and police post in- charges were instructed to increase patrolling in their respective areas, so that crimes can be prevented. The crime branch in- charges were instructed to take strict action against those involved in illegal drug trafficking, illegal arms, gambling in public places, illegal liquor smugglers. He asked all the police station in- charges to organize a meeting by contacting the Resident Welfare Association of their respective areas. The DCP instructed that the people living on rent must get the verification done.
