Last February, the film Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan featuring actors Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff was announced by producer Vasu Bhagnani’s production company Pooja Entertainment. Earlier, Vasu had made a film of the same name with Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda in the year 1998. It was not confirmed during the announcement whether it would be a remake of the old film or a new story. Producer Deepshikha Deshmukh said in a conversation with Dainik Jagran about the re-title of the old film, “Purani Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is also our production film. It was produced by my father (Vasu Bhagnani). We didn’t have to think much about the title of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, as the title and the rights of the film belong to us.
