PUBG Mobile India: Official Announcement Confirms Return, Await Release Date!

After months of anticipation, PUBG Mobile India’s return has been officially confirmed by PUBG Corporation. In a recent press release, the company unveiled plans for the launch of a new version of the popular battle royale game, specifically tailored for the Indian gaming community. This announcement comes following the game’s ban by the Indian government two months ago.

The upcoming PUBG Mobile India is not merely a rehashed version of its predecessor but has been meticulously redesigned to cater to the unique preferences of Indian gamers. PUBG Corporation aims to provide a secure and healthy gaming environment, addressing concerns that led to the ban while also customizing the gameplay experience to resonate with Indian audiences.

One of the significant changes includes setting the game in a virtual simulation training ground, reflecting a departure from the original battlegrounds setting. Additionally, new characters will now start clothed by default, and green hit effects will denote the virtual nature of the game. Moreover, to encourage responsible gaming habits among younger players, PUBG Corporation plans to introduce features that limit game time.

Addressing privacy and security concerns, PUBG Corporation has pledged to conduct regular audits and verifications on storage systems holding Indian users’ personal data to ensure data security. This commitment to data privacy aligns with recent efforts by the game’s parent company, Krafton Inc., which announced a partnership with Microsoft to host PUBG Mobile India on the Azure service.

While the release date for PUBG Mobile India is yet to be disclosed, PUBG Corporation has indicated that the game will be launched at a later date. Additionally, the company has announced its intention to establish an Indian subsidiary to enhance communication and services with players. As part of this initiative, PUBG Corporation plans to hire 100 employees specializing in various domains, including business, esports, and game development.

Furthermore, in a significant move to support India’s gaming ecosystem, Krafton Inc. has committed to investing USD 100 million in the country. This investment aims to promote local video game development, esports, entertainment, and IT industries, signaling a long-term commitment to the Indian gaming community.
