Music is a mixture of heart, mind and voice: Lalit

Music is a sadhana, the one who did that sadhana with all his heart, it remains only to him. This is the reason that composer Lalit Pandit, who composed songs for films like Chalte Chalte, Fanaa, and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, continues to compose music even today. In a conversation on the occasion of World Music Day, Lalit says, ‘Music is not a part of my life, but life itself. Music has been the only knowledge ever since I regained my senses. The most important thing about music is its sensitivity. What is music that cannot be explained in words? When music touches the heart, it is sure that others also enjoy it.

Music is a mixture of heart, mind, and voice. When all three work together, then things work out. Music lasts forever. Our great singers, songwriters, and musicians may not be there anymore, but we still listen to the music sung and composed by them. Many memories of people are associated with songs. When people come and say that you have heard the song of fruits, which makes the heart feel.’ In three films this year, Lalit Pandit’s songs will come. Apart from this, he is also coming out with his sister Vijeta Pandit, for the first time in a Bhajan album.
