The film will be produced by Bhushan Kumar and Ravi Bhagchandka, bringing to life the extraordinary journey of one of cricket’s most celebrated figures. The announcement was made public by film critic Taran Adarsh, who shared the exciting news on his social media platforms.
Following the announcement, Yuvraj Singh expressed his thoughts on the upcoming project. In a media briefing, Yuvraj stated that he hopes his biopic will inspire millions to overcome their challenges. “I am truly honored,” Yuvraj remarked. “My story will be showcased to fans worldwide. Cricket has been my greatest love and a source of strength throughout all the highs and lows. Taran Adarsh, in his post, mentioned that the film’s title has not been finalized yet. However, the biopic will cover Yuvraj Singh’s entire cricketing career and life, offering an in-depth look at his journey both on and off the field.
Yuvraj Singh is hailed as one of the greatest cricketers in Indian history. Over his 17-year international career, he made significant contributions to Indian cricket. Yuvraj played 40 Test matches, scoring 1,900 runs at an average of 33.93, 304 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) with 8,701 runs at an average of 36.56, and 58 T20 Internationals, amassing 1,177 runs at an average of 28.02.
In addition to his batting prowess, Yuvraj Singh recorded 71 half-centuries and 17 centuries across formats. His bowling also proved valuable, with 148 international wickets to his name. Yuvraj’s heroics were pivotal in India’s triumphs in the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 ODI World Cup, where his all-round performances played a crucial role in securing the trophies for the Indian team.
